Kossiv is a Mecca for the folk art fans. It is famous by its artisanal market where you can buy different souvenirs and also see secrets of their manufacture by yourself. Kossiv souvenir market has everything: Easter eggs (pysanka), carved wooden vases, jewelry boxes, eagles, spoons, barrels, ceramic, kumanets (a kind of Ukrainian traditional dishware which is used mainly as a decoration nowadays), sculptures, porcelain tile, embroidered and woven shirts, towels, carpets, lizhnyks, glass beads, articles from wood, metal and even cheese…

Kossiv souvenir market work twice a week: on Thursdays and Saturdays, except the religious holidays.

Bukovel is a world famous resort in the Ivano-Frankivsk region that attracts tourists from all over the world to experience the best of the Carpathians. It is situated at the height of 920 m. above sea level. Without a doubt, winter is a high season in Bukovel, a ski season starts here in November lasts till the end of April. The highlight of the tour is a ride on a chairlift to the top of the mount. You will have some free time on the top to observe breathtaking views of the mountains around you and take splendid pictures. Moreover, there is a “Panorama” bar on the top, where you may drink some tea or coffee before coming down from the mountain on a lift.

Yaremche located in the valley of the Prut River at an altitude of 585 m above sea level. The population of Yaremche is 7,850 people. Beautiful nature, clean air, and picturesque valley of the Prut River are the main attraction of Yaremche. The town is surrounded by the Horhany mountains, whose name originates from the mountains spreading on the tops and slopes of ridges. Even in Austro-Hungarian times, Yaremche was a popular resort. In winter you can ski or sleigh on the slopes of the nearest resorts –; Bukovel, Vorokhta, Yablunytsia, Drahobrat.

It is certainly not the highest (it is only 8 meters – 26 feet – high), but it is the most powerful and picturesque waterfall in all the Ukrainian Carpathians. The torrents of the Prut River, which find their way through the stones, create an unforgettable show, which you can watch from a small footbridge that crosses the river.

Not far from the waterfall lies a well-known souvenir market, which has already become one of Yaremche’s most popular attractions. Here you can buy traditional souvenirs: vyshyvanka (the Ukrainian traditional clothing which contains elements of Ukrainian ethnic embroidery), national hats, belts, unique wooden jewellery boxes. Gutsul wool coverlet (liznyk) made of natural wool or warm slippers from the same material would be a good present for your friends. Please note that all products are handmade by an old technology and from natural materials.

Near the waterfall, in the traditional style of local folk architecture, stands the restaurant Hutsulshchyna, where you can be regaled to delicious hutsul dishes.

It was created 70 million years ago at the bottom of a sea, and it truly resembles a fictional marine creature in its fanciful shape.
