Manyavsky Skete is a beautiful spiritual pearl of the Ukrainian Carpathians, surrounded by a dense coniferous forest. The history of the Manyava Skete dates back to the XIII century, when the dwelling monks from Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra found the holly spring on the “Blessed Stone”. According to the legend, the monks witnessed an apparition of the Virgin Mary and founded a cave monastery on that place. It is believed that the water from the spring has healing properties.

You will visit the splendid wooden Church of the Exaltation of the Holly Cross where you will find miraculous icons. The time, spent in the monastery, will fill your soul with peace and happiness.

During the second part of the tour, you will see another famous attraction of the Carpathian Mountains – the Manyava Waterfall. This splendid waterfall is one of the highest in Ukraine – 20 m. It is situated in an extremely picturesque canyon of the Manyavka River, in the shadows of the trees.

Bukovel is a world famous resort in the Ivano-Frankivsk region that attracts tourists from all over the world to experience the best of the Carpathians. It is situated at the height of 920 m. above sea level. Without a doubt, winter is a high season in Bukovel, a ski season starts here in November lasts till the end of April. There are three high peaks, interlinked by ski trails, Mount Dovha (1372 m), Mount Chorna Kleva (1276 m) and Mount Bukovel (1127 m).

Nowadays, Bukovel offers a wide range of tourist services, including hotels & SPA, restaurants, parking, entertainment complex “Buka”, kinder club and sport grounds. Moreover, there is a lake on the territory of Bukovel, where people may practice water sports in summer. The overall length of the ski pistes of different levels of complexity is more than 50 km.

The highlight of the tour is a ride on a chairlift to the top of the mount. You will have some free time on the top to observe breathtaking views of the mountains around you and take splendid pictures. Moreover, there is a “Panorama” bar on the top, where you may drink some tea or coffee before coming down from the mountain on a lift.

To most tourists, Ivano-Frankivsk is the gateway to the Ukrainian Carpathians. This charming city, with its parks, lush gardens, European-styled houses, and historical monuments, is worth staying in for more than just a night.

The heart of the city, customary for European towns, is the Market Square, surrounded by charming old houses. In the center of the square stands the Town Hall - the only one in Ukraine that was built in the modernist style. One of the most famous fountains in Ivano-Frankivsk, the Egg Fountain, stands in front of the Town Hall.

The main gems of the city's sacral architecture are concentrated near the Market Square. Built in the 18th century, in the Late Baroque style, the building of the former Armenian Church holds a special place. In Soviet times, the Museum of Religion and Atheism was inside. Now, it is a functional Orthodox cathedral called the Holy-Pokrovsky.

The Church of Virgin Mary, the oldest building of Ivano-Frankivsk, stands nearby. It was built in the 17th century as a burial vault for the Potocki family. The building has since been converted to an art museum; inside, you will find Galicia icons, works of West Ukrainian classical painters, as well as the masterpieces of Polish, Austrian, German, and Italian painters. Next door is the Baroque Church of the Holy Resurrection (a Greek Catholic cathedral), rebuilt from the remains of a Jesuit church.

Yaremche located in the valley of the Prut River at an altitude of 585 m above sea level. The population of Yaremche is 7,850 people. Beautiful nature, clean air, and picturesque valley of the Prut River are the main attraction of Yaremche. The town is surrounded by the Horhany mountains, whose name originates from the mountains spreading on the tops and slopes of ridges. Even in Austro-Hungarian times, Yaremche was a popular resort. It is certainly not the highest (it is only 8 meters – 26 feet – high), but it is the most powerful and picturesque waterfall in all the Ukrainian Carpathians. Not far from the waterfall lies a well-known souvenir market, which has already become one of Yaremche’s most popular attractions. Here you can buy traditional souvenirs: vyshyvanka (the Ukrainian traditional clothing which contains elements of Ukrainian ethnic embroidery), national hats, belts, unique wooden jewellery boxes. Gutsul wool coverlet (liznyk) made of natural wool or warm slippers from the same material would be a good present for your friends. Please note that all products are handmade by an old technology and from natural materials.

Near the waterfall, in the traditional style of local folk architecture, stands the restaurant Hutsulshchyna, where you can be regaled to delicious hutsul dishes.

Dovbush rocks. It is an awe-inspiring mound of boulders whose peak is 80 meters high. It was created 70 million years ago at the bottom of a sea, and it truly resembles a fictional marine creature in its fanciful shape. A mysterious cave hides in the rocks, where, legends say, a band of local bounty hunters used to hide. The leader of these Carpathian militiamen (called “oprishki” in Ukranian) was Oleksa Dovbush, for whom the rocks were eventually named. This wonderful place attracts not only curious travelers, but also hikers and rock climbers.

Kolomyya is a wonderful city with a very expressive character of the Austro-Hungarian buildings, with the population - 70 thousand inhabitants, which situated on the river Prut. This is a sparkling place of the Precarpathians, the pearl of the soul of the Hutsul region. It is believed that the city was founded in the IV cent. In old times the city was famous as a commercial and military center.

The downtown attracts tourists with nice, orderly streets, numerous buildings on the verge of XIXth and XXth cent., with lavish secession or eclectic decoration. Over centuries the Town Hall, built in 1877 in place of a wooden one has been a symbol of Kolomyya.

The museum of Easter Eggs (Pysankas) located in the most original architectural building of the city, which has become a distinguishing card of Kolomyya and which attracts visitors from all countries. The museum is egg-shaped. Inside is the exhibition of fifteen hundred exhibits. A complete collection of the museum includes over 12 thousand eggs.

The museum of Hutsulshchyna is situated in magnificent three-storey building which was built in 1902 by the design of architects L. Becker and N. Krvchovskyi. The collections of the institution number over 30,000 items –; rare and valuable works of folk art of Hutsul and Pokuttia regions of Western Ukraine.
